A show of comradery between the Buffalo police and residents of the Fruit Belt on Saturday.
B-District police teamed up with the Fruit Belt Coalition, now called Fruit of the City, for a community day.
The event included a dedication of green space for residents to enjoy and relax in during the pandemic.
Officers and coalition members also handed out backpacks and voting registry information.
Organizers say the event showed unity and allowed them to voice concerns about the relationship and city overall.
"Our motto is if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. So we're standing for the positive part about making residents comfortable and making the quality of life what it should be-especially during this time," said Fruit of the City president Benjamin Cashaw.
Fruit of the City has expanded its boundaries to include those who may not live in the fruit belt, and new members are always encouraged.
