The Frontier Central School District now has a new leader.
The board of education unanimously voted to approve a separation agreement with superintendent Richard Hughes.
The board said it believes the move was in the best interest of the district.
They read a statement from Hughes that highlighted some of his work, including adding communication tools, including the website and social media pages, development of a five-year strategic plan and increasing educational opportunities for students.
The decision is effective immediately.
Colleen Duggan was appointed as acting superintendent.
District officials hope to have an interim superintendent within a month and plan to choose someone for the permanent job over the summer.
