CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. -- The man who pleaded guilty to leaving his baby alone inside a car on a 90-degree day will spend four months in the Ontario County Jail.
James O'Connor, 38 of Auburn, pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment.
O'Connor was arrested August 19th after leaving the baby in his car outside Eastview Mall.
District Attorney Mike Tantillo said the mall's surveillance footage showed the baby was left in the car a total of 23 minutes.
Tantillo says temperatures inside the car exceeded 100-degrees.
Deputies called to the scene used to a tool to open the vehicle and rescue the child who was taken to the hospital and later released.
