WATERLOO, N.Y. -- A former judge from Seneca County is expected to return to jail on Friday to serve out a sentence on a felony conviction.
In October, former Waterloo Judge Roger Barto was sentenced to six months in jail after being convicted of insurance fraud, defrauding the government, falsifying business records and falsely reporting an incident.
Prosecutors say he lied that two men attacked him outside his Waterloo courthouse in 2013.
The State Court of Appeals denied Barto's application for permission to appeal.
He was released from jail during that process but now has to go back to serve the rest of the sentence.
