BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Benjamin Bolton, a former Buffalo State College student, admitted Tuesday to threatening faculty members and faces up to five years in prison as a result.
Bolton, 32, pleaded guilty in federal court to transmitting interstate communications containing threats, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, who stated Bolton was suspended from Buff State in April 2014 due to some incidents on campus.
Bolton admitted to later calling and threatening staff members as well as university police officers.
Bolton is set to be sentenced on Dec. 19.
