BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Arthur Jordan, whose high-profile arrest was announced July 14 after investigators said he posted a threat on his Facebook page that said "Let's Start Killin Police Let's See How Dey Like It," pleaded guilty Wednesday afternoon in one of the two cases he's charged in.

As part of this plea deal to a felony weapons charge, Jordan, 22, faces 3 1/2 to 15 years in prison when he's sentenced on Oct. 27.

Police say Jordan was also found with an illegal semi-automatic weapon at the time of his arrest.

Erie County District Attorney Michael Flaherty Jr. says the plea in State Supreme Court came as a result of a deal made between his office and Jordan's attorney, and added that he hopes this case will make it clear that he takes threats against law enforcement very seriously.

Flaherty says his office will be seeking the maximum 15-year sentence.

Jordan pleaded not guilty last week in federal court to a separate charge related to threatening police. Last week, Jordan's public defender said his client was frustrated about police killing black people, and while his post was socially insensitive and fell on the day of the Dallas police ambush, insisted it was just bad judgment.
