ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Police on Thursday released the identity of one man charged in a home invasion/robbery earlier this week on Rochester's northeast side.
Levi Wright faces nine counts total, including burglary, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief.
Police say three people entered a Rosemary Drive home around 10:30 p.m. Monday and assaulted a 16-year-old girl, whose father came home soon after.
Bernard Dickerson said he managed to run out of the house and alert a neighbor, who called 911, but as he fled, police said Wright chased after Dickerson and shot him in the leg. Dickerson said he shook the gun out of the attacker's hands and managed to hold down Wright until police arrived.
Police say the house was targeted but aren't saying why. The teen girl was not the target.
At last update, police said they were looking for two other suspects.
