NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – Niagara Falls police have identified both the suspect and the victim in a homicide early Saturday.
Jamell Parker, 26, of Niagara Falls, is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
He's charged in the shooting death of Marlowe Smith, 36, also of Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls police say they found Smith shot in the head on the 1100 block of 19th Street.
They say the suspect fled and led officers on a short foot chase and was arrested in an alley, with the help of a citizen, a few blocks away off of Pine Avenue between 24th and 25th streets.
