Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown declared a state of emergency Sunday evening in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
This comes after three confirmed cases of the coronavirus strain in Erie County were reported Sunday morning.

Erie County will close all public schools through April 20.
Brown said City Hall will be open for business, but he asked that the public call their respective departments first or use online services before heading in.
Brown also said there is now a capacity limit for bars and restaurants. Those who violate those limits can face fines up to $10,000.
