The world record for the Largest Polka Dance stands at 802 people. That was set in Germany in 2013.
You could help break that record this weekend in Western New York.
The day starts with the Pulaski Day Parade. Joseph Mikolaj Rej, Jr., president of the General Pulaski Association, says the lineup starts at 11 a.m. on Edward Street and Delaware Avenue. At 1 p.m., the second Pulaski Day Festival will kick off and Rej says you can find basket and food raffles, beer and dessert tents and more.
At 3:30 p.m. the dancing begins.
"This could be a very special moment for a lot of people's lives like they'll always remember if we're able to break this record," said Rej.
At least 803 people will need to join in to make this record-breaking attempt a success.
