BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Easter tradition is back in full swing at Buffalo's Broadway Market.

It’s a welcome return to normalcy for the East Side icon.

The market welcomed holiday shoppers Saturday as they visited with local vendors and searched for the traditional pierogi, butter lamb and other Easter necessities.

Like many other establishments, the Broadway Market and its collection of shops struggled during the pandemic.

But the lifting of COVID restrictions has paved the way for April to once again be the market's busiest time of the year.

"You can see the vibes and the people just gathering, having fun,” Broadway Market employee Sakhr Abdo said. “You got multiple vendors with restaurants, foods you can try out. But to see it back again with a lot of people back here, it makes you kind of happy."

The Easter Bunny will be making a guest appearance at the market until April 16.

But don't wait until the last minute if you need kielbasa.

The market will be closed on Easter Sunday.
