BUFFALO, N.Y. — A reminder for Buffalo residents: bulk trash collection begins this week.
The collection will be separated by district. This week crews will be picking up bulk trash in the Ellicott District.
When it is your designated week, crews ask that you prepare by putting your bulk trash out by the curb on Sunday, as they work throughout the week collecting for the whole district.
Those piles should not exceed 12 feet long by 3 feet wide by 3 feet high.
Electronic trash such as computers and televisions will not be collected, but you can drop those off at 1120 Seneca Street Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon or the first Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tires are also not permitted to be picked up in bulk trash week.
The city his holding tire drop off on May 22, July 24 and September 11 at the Broadway Garage from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Last year the city was only able to do one bulk trash collection due to the pandemic.
This year, however, fall pickup will run from August 8 through October 17.
