Devin Singletary‘s the smallest of the 91 players at Bills training camp, but the 5’7” running back is already making a big impression after just a week.

"Obviously he's very shifty. He's kind of like a one-cut go and his vision, it's just different. For a young guy coming into the league, his vision, being able to see guys in his peripheral, the jump-cuts that he's being able to make, I think that people have to respect that. It just kind of opens it up when there's a one-on-one defender, he's very tough to bring down. I'm very anxious to see that when live pads and getting into a preseason game and seeing some of the things that he can do with the ball,” said quarterback Josh Allen.

Singletary working in every day with the first team, getting more comfortable each rep.

"I feel it's been going well so far. I know it's just the beginning, but I feel like I've been getting some good reps,  good opportunities and I feel I've been taking the best of my opportunities ... I feel no pressure. I always approach it you got to apply pressure, not feel pressure. Obviously they believe in me, so I just got to believe in myself and make things happen,” said Singletary.

The rookie’s navigating his first camp with the help of the two backs ahead of him: LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore. He’s been tapping into their nearly quarter century of NFL experience from the beginning, understanding the advantage he has next to two possible future Hall of Famers.

"Just help me with ways to help me take care of my body. The small things as far as running the ball, catching the ball, pass protection, whatever it may be. They're always in my ear and in my corner to help,” said Singletary.

And that wisdom helping Devin Singletary grow into a bigger role with the Bills.
