Who will the Buffalo Bills take with the 9th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft? How about the 40th pick? Greg Vorse lays out what he deems the best-case scenario in this mock draft.
1.) Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma
You hired Kliff Kingsbury as head coach to revamp your offense and that starts with getting his guy at QB. The Cards need to see what they can get for their current QB, Josh Rosen, who was selected 10th last year. Whatever picks/pieces come from that trade need to be used to build around the athletic, accurate, yet undersized Murray. If nothing else this will be great television for a couple years.

2.) San Francisco 49ers: Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State
The best player on my board goes to the 49ers and they get another stud EDGE rusher to pair with Dee Ford and all of a sudden the SF defensive line is something to worry about. The best comparable to Nick is his older brother Joey, who currently crushes it for the Chargers — and the scary thought is that the younger Bosa's upside is greater.

3.) New York Jets: Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama
Like the 49ers, the Jets get a player who wouldn't be there if not for Murray going #1. Williams was a force for Alabama this season as they made it to yet another national championship. He is the full package of size, speed, and smarts.

4.) Oakland Raiders: Josh Allen, DE, Kentucky
It's no secret the Raiders need to replace Khalil Mack, who was traded before last season. In Allen they get one of the best EDGE rushers in the draft and a guy they can pencil in for all three downs from week one. While Jon Gruden might be obsessed with his offense, this is a needed upgrade to the Raider defense.

5.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Devin White, LB, LSU
White is the perfect fit in today's defense as a linebacker who can both cover and explode on RBs at the point of attack. Like the teams in front of them, TB has a lot of holes to fill and this fills arguably their biggest need in the middle of their front 7.

6.) New York Giants: Montez Sweat, DE, Mississippi State
The Giants have to take a QB, right? NOPE! Who knows what Dave Gettleman is actually thinking, but he had to see what Sweat did at the combine and the game tape matches those numbers. Once Sweat starts to dominate on the field as the monster that he is, we will all like this pick, but will it end up in the same vein as "wasted" like Barkley? Only time will tell as the Giants go another year without its QB of the future.

7.) Jacksonville Jaguars: Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida
The Jags could use players at just about every position on offense to help new QB Nick Foles, but nothing helps a QB like keeping him clear. Taylor will do just that from day one at left tackle and he will also help a run game that has wildly underachieved of late.

8.) Detroit Lions: Rashan Gary, DE, Michigan
The Lions got to see Gary up close as he played about 30 minutes away from Detroit in Ann Arbor, but it wasn't always the best results on the field. Gary, who was the consensus top recruit in his class, never quite lived up to that with the Wolverines, but he is an athletic freak and has all the measurables to go along with that. If Matt Patricia can coach him up, Lions and Gary would be a great match.

9.) Buffalo Bills: Ed Oliver, DT, Houston
While Buffalo doesn't NEED an edge rusher, the moves they made during free agency gives them an opportunity to truly take best player available and that is clearly Ed Oliver at #9. Oliver has been a dominant force since he was in high school and I don't see the 5 star recruit slowing down when added to the Bills defense. From what we know about Sean McDermott, the best aspect of the three-time First-Team All-American's game could be his position flexibility. Standing 6'2" 287lbs, Oliver was often used over center at Houston, but in Buffalo he should slide out just a bit and be a rusher who shoots the gaps or lines up really wide and plays seek and destroy with opposing QBs.

Continuing the theme of high upside guys, Beane and McDermott get another former 5 star stud in tackle Greg Little. To put it nicely the First-Team All-SEC performer is a monster, but the good kind, the kind that stands 6'6" 325lbs, but somehow moves that weight with fluidity while protecting his QBs backside. He not only has the prototypical height and weight, but also adds long arms many look for in blockers. The Bills did some nice things to improve the offensive line in free agency and adding Little to give competition at tackle immediately and a starter in front of Josh Allen for years to come at the 40th pick would be a nice win for the Bills.
