A native New Yorker, Casey Bortnick graduated from SUNY Brockport with a degree in broadcast journalism. While in college, Casey was able to hone in on his broadcasting skills by hosting his own sports talk show at WBSU while taking advantage of covering every news event he was able to. Today, Casey is continuing his six-year long stint with Spectrum News Buffalo as a proud weeknight anchor.

Casey is a decorated reporter, and with three RTDNA Regional Edward R. Murrow awards and two New York Associated Press Broadcasters awards, it’s safe to call Casey an expert in his field.

The youngest of five children, when he’s not reporting Casey has his hands full with his seven nephews and three nieces. He is an avid sports fan, passionately following the New York Jets and the New York Mets. When it comes to college sports, you’ll find him rooting for Notre Dame.
