Wake up with John Borsa every weekend morning on Time Warner Cable News.

John is a Western New York native. Born in Rochester, he grew up in Canandaigua and attended SUNY Brockport.

John’s nearly 25-year career in broadcast news started at WHAM 1180-AM in Rochester in 1992 when he was just 18-years-old.

At his next stop, WXXI AM-1370, John was honored with a first place award in the Spot News category by the New York State Broadcasters Association. He reported on national stories throughout the Northeast for National Public Radio, including the crash of TWA Flight 800. He also covered business news for the network.

Behind the scenes, John served as an assignment editor at WUHF TV-31 during the late 90’s before making the move to Buffalo as anchor and executive producer at WBEN AM-930 and anchor and reporter at WKBW TV-7

John was the first Western New York journalist to interview former Buffalo Bills player Kevin Everett following his miraculous recovery from a paralyzing on-field injury. He reported from the scene after Continental Connection Flight 3407 crashed in Clarence Center. John also went to Ground Zero following the death of Osama bin Laden and during the opening of the 9/11 Memorial Museum.

When John is not on the air, he spends his free time as a professional photographer and graphic designer. He is also a huge Star Trek fan.
