Britian's vote to leave the European Union seems to have provided fodder for a conversation Staten Islanders had in the 90's.
That's when a movement formed to ditch New York City and create the City of Staten Island.
So, is there still a sentiment that the borough would be better off on its own?
NY1's Anthony Pascale discussed just that with Allen Cappelli, who was a member of the Charter Commission that considered secession, College of Staten Island Political Science Professor Richard Flanagan and South Shore City Councilman Joe Borelli.
