The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Flood Warning for east central Steuben County until 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

An ice jam was causing the Cohocton River near the hamlet of Campbell to rise significantly around 11:41 a.m.

The National Weather Service says the ice jam will cause the Cohocton River to continue to rise and likely flood portions of Campbell Tuesday afternoon. Minor flooding was already reported on a rural road in this area.

With ice jams there is considerable uncertainty as to how high the river will get.
