President Joe Biden will visit Syracuse on Thursday, where he is expected to discuss more about a preliminary deal to provide billions in federal funding for Micron.
The city has announced several road closures in preparation for the president's visit.
There will be no parking in the areas marked in red beginning on Wednesday at 10 p.m.
Areas include:
- W. Jefferson Street surrounding the MOST
- Franklin Street from W. Jefferson Street to Butternut Street
- Walton Street from W. Fayette Street to S. Franklin Street
Officials said any cars left on the road will be towed beginning on Thursday at 5 a.m.
The streets listed above will be closed to traffic from 6 a.m.-4 p.m. on Thursday.
While there will be no vehicular traffic, pedestrian traffic is allowed, as businesses will remain open.
