BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Binghamton police are looking to hear from anyone with information on a shooting on the city's East Side.

Officers got a call for gunshots in the area of Howard Avenue and Robinson Street around 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Police say they spotted a suspicious vehicle, which they tried to stop—but it turned out to be a man who had been shot in the leg.

The 39-year-old drove himself to the hospital, with police in pursuit.

He later told officers that he had been shot during a fight near the Dan Dee Bar and Grill on Robinson Street.
