Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord has declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, he announced on social media.
McCord went 22-4 as a starting quarterback at Syracuse and Ohio State. McCord led the nation with 4,779 passing yards in 2024 and led Syracuse to a 10-win season and a victory over Washington State in the Holiday Bowl.
He broke the ACC season passing record in 2024 and the 10-win season marked the program's first since 2018.
McCord had filed a waiver to gain another year of eligibility, but has decided to no longer pursue the waiver.
McCord transfered to Syracuse from Ohio State and will go down as one of the best quarterbacks in Syracuse's history. McCord was a main piece of Syracuse's turn around under first-year head coach Fran Brown, who McCord said "changed his life."
McCord said in the social media post "one year can truly change your life," and he will "forever be orange."
