The Bough family dominated the fall sports season in the Southern Tier.
This fall, multiple area teams brought home state championships, including Whitney Point field hockey and Chenango Forks girls soccer.
What's special about these teams is not just their wins, but the family connection they share. Sisters Leanne and Brenna Bough helped lead the Eagles to their fifth straight field hockey championship, while sisters Emma and Aubrey led Forks to its second state title in three years.
These four are family, with a competitive edge in everything they do.
"It is crazy that both of us are doing so good for each of our teams, but it's because we have such a good work ethic that it's paying off for all of us," said Leanne Bough.
Leanne is heading to Ohio State next fall to continue playing field hockey, while junior Emma Bough has verbally committed to play soccer at Niagara. Both younger sisters are in eighth grade.
