SYRACUSE, N.Y. - With a 33-26 win over Ticonderoga, Tioga football won its first-ever state championship in Class D. The Tigers trailed 14-0 to start the game and trailed 14-12 at halftime, only to outscore the Sentinels 33-12 after Ticonderoga took the early lead. Jesse Manuel recorded an interception to give the Tigers possession with less than 30 seconds to go in the fourth quarter, and his 33-yard rushing touchdown sealed the win.
