The New York State Police are investigating a two-car crash on the Lake Ontario State Parkway in Greece that left one dead and one injured on Wednesday.
Police say the driver of a westbound vehicle, Robert Hoffman, 41, of Dansville, failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the shoulder into a grassy median, striking the rear of a westbound vehicle on the on-ramp from I-390 to the parkway.
The first vehicle struck a tree, and overturned onto its roof. Hoffman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation is ongoing.
