The long held Binghamton tradition is back this year. The St. Patrick’s Day parade will once again make its way through the city.

The parade hasn’t happened since 2020. This Saturday will be the return of the parade featuring all the seasonal favorites to celebrate the holiday.

Taking place in mid-March made it one of the last major events to happen in the area in 2020. The city’s mayor says police will be enforcing open container laws, and directing traffic on Saturday. There are also expected to be many out of town visitors to join in the festivities.

“It’s a family friendly event, we are excited for bringing everyone downtown, really for the first time in a long time," said Jared Kraham, Binghamton mayor.

The event starts with mass at Saint Mary Assumption Church at 11:30 a.m. The parade will start shortly after at 1:30 p.m.
