Animal Adventure Park has been transformed into a holiday jungle. Community members walked through the winter wonderland on its first night of holiday lighting. Visitors can meet reindeer and even have an early chat with Santa.
The park is dedicating this year's event to Don Phillips, locally known as Mr. Christmas. Phillips passed away just five days after Christmas last year, and now some of his collection is on display.
"In the fashion of Mr. Christmas, we started with a small area that simply had a few of Don's original light-ups. But as we've progressed each day getting ready for the grand opening we've added more and more and what was just a few blow-ups from Don's display, we now have close to two dozen of them," said owner Jordan Patch.
You can enjoy Jungle Bells until December 29. It's open Thursday through Sunday from 5-10 p.m.
