Broome County Executive Jason Garnar laid out his vision for the 2020 budget year.
Hosted at GiGi's Playhouse in Vestal, Garnar proposed a second-straight year of tax cuts for residents.
The county executive also plans to allocate funds for three Broome Deputy sheriffs, renovations to SUNY Broome, and fix up Broome County roads.
But some of the least proposed funding may have the biggest impact.
"We oftentimes help agencies with funding and we were able to provide $10,000 to support all the great things that they're already doing here in this community," said Jason Garnar.
That $10,000 will be used for literacy and math tutoring at the Southern Tier facility.
