Binghamton men's basketball team had not won a postseason conference game in a decade. Until this past weekend against second-seeded Stony Brook.
The Bearcats are just the third team in conference history to be a seven seed and upset a two seed. When Binghamton reached the semifinals in 2009, they also won the conference championship.
Getting ready to face top-seed Vermont, the chances of winning are slim, but the team is hoping to shock the unbelievers.
"I saw that ESPN power index gave them a 98.6-percent chance in winning tomorrow night. So we're going to take our 1.6-percent chance and we're gonna give it hell," said Bearcats Head Coach, Tommy Dempsey.
Binghamton is hosting a watch party in the Events Center for fans to attend on Tuesday. It's free admission, with the game beginning at 7 p.m.
