Aaron Powell has been found guilty again, for the murders of his estranged wife Christina Powell and her friend Mario Masciarelli.
The town of Binghamton man was originally found guilty back in 2014 but that conviction was reversed on appeal.
During the re-trial, the defense attempted to poke holes in the way the case was investigated. They said police focused on Powell, despite finding the DNA of another person on items in the home.
Prosecutors say they believe justice was served.
"Well you got to feel so bad for the family to have to go through this twice,” said attorney Vincent Accardi. “It's just terrible and we're just very happy the outcome was the same."
Powell was found guilty of two counts of murder in the second degree and one count of first-degree murder.
