Congressman-elect Anthony Brindisi spent his Monday thanking supporters in the Southern Tier.
Dozens greeted him at the Lost Dog Cafe on Monday night. Supporters met their representative-to-be face to face while speaking about what they want the Democrat to do in office.
Health care, education, and the opioid crisis were among issues voters want Brindisi to address. They say they're looking forward to seeing the changes he brings to the district.
"I'm really glad Brindisi is more down to earth. He listens to what we're saying and he cares about the people, and that's what I'm happy to have, someone back in office that represents everyone," said supporter Amy Kolstee.
Brinidisi says he plans to return to Binghamton in January for a town hall meeting.
