BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- Industry leaders met Wednesday to talk about new ways to help the region grow, as a part of the Southern Tier Industry Summit.
More than 200 people from eight counties met in Binghamton, including members of government and large companies. Industries ranged from credit unions and real estate firms to manufacturers and universities.
"We're effectively expecting to add up to 100 people over the next five to 10 years, so we need talent and resources coming to this area, flocking to this area, so we can continue to be one of the best organizations in the country," said Visions Federal Credit Union President and CEO Ty Muse.
Industry leaders are expected to meet again for another summit at some point next year.
