Cities across the country often struggle with feral animals and overpopulation, and Elmira is no exception.

Not everyone sees it as a problem, but most agree wherever you go in the city; you're likely to find feral cats.

One way to combat this problem is getting them spayed and neutered.  In the last few years, the Chemung County SPCA has seen around a 12% increase in animals they've taken in.

The SPCA holds a number of spay and neuter clinics.
