BINGHAMTON, N.Y. — Friends and family gathered Sunday at Two Rivers Church in Binghamton for their second annual Candlelight Christmas Eve.

They sang Christmas songs and lit candles, representing the light of Jesus Christ and hope in everyone's lives.

Lead Pastor Will Hampton wants this message to spread across the area.

One guest says religious or not, there needs to be more positivity in the world.

"Even if we don't believe in God specifically, we just need to find a light to bring into our world," Logan Sisson, Endicott resident. "Bad stuff happens, but good stuff happens too and that's what this service kind of teaches, bring a light to counter the darkness."

The church was founded in 2013. They plan on opening locations in Vestal, Cortland and Corning.
