FENTON, N.Y. -- Twenty-four libraries across the region are receiving a combined $150,000 in state funding to keep their pages turning for years to come.
Senator Fred Akshar made the announcement Wednesday at the Fenton Free Library.
The funding will keep crucial programs running and provide hundreds of new books and resources to libraries across the 52nd District. In addition, the Fenton library is receiving a $15,000 grant to help repair its damaged children's center.
The town of Fenton is also receiving $85,000 to maintain its wells and install a new energy-efficient motor controller.
