BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Labatt USA and Pegula Sports and Entertainment announced plans Wednesday to transform a non-descript and underutilized building on Perry Street into the John Labatt House, a mixed-use facility with Labatt USA as the anchor tenant.
Pegula Sports and Entertainment bought the Cobblestone District building, adjacent to KeyBank Center, back in February.
The first floor will become Labatt's first pilot brewery in the U.S., and will also have a restaurant. The company's corporate offices, in Buffalo for the past decade, are also moving there.
Peerless, the company currently in the building, has acquired new space and will be moving out in the next 10 days.
The plan is to open the John Labatt House by summer 2018.
