DRYDEN, N.Y. -- One person is dead after a crash in the town of Dryden.
Tompkins County Sheriff's deputies responded to the 1600 block of Ellis Hollow Road around 8:15 p.m.
They say a vehicle had been traveling east on Ellis Hollow Road when it went off the roadway and hit a tree.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's identity has not been released yet.
An investigation into what caused the crash is ongoing.
