JOHNSON CITY, N.Y. -- Community members go head to head in a three-day basketball tournament.
It's the fifth annual Mase Madness and more than 45 teams took part in the competition.
The tournament started in honor of Mason P. McKan, who passed away from SIDS at six months old .
His family began the tournament to raise money for the Mason P. McKan Benevolence Fund, which supports local families and organizations.
"It's unbelievable," Mason's grandfather Jon Yeager said. "The little guy lives on year after year in a big way in the community just because of what we've been able to do here. Because of his name and his honor, we've been able to do some really special things in our community, in our area."
Over the past five years, the fund has given more than $50,000 to the community.
