BRADFORD COUNTY, N.Y. -- The National Weather Service said a tornado touched down in Bradford County on Monday afternoon.

Meteorologists said it touched down with 100 miles per-hour winds near Monroeton.

The damage is from Towanda just north of where the tornado hit.

Experts said the storm also produced a microburst and large hail.

Hailstones damaged cars and some house siding in the area.

Route 220 in the area was also shut down for several hours, as trees had to be cleared to make the highway passable.
