CAMPBELL, N.Y. -- Dairy farmers around the Southern Tier are nervously waiting to see what will happen with the Kraft-Heinz facility in Campbell.

Bob Nichols' farm just outside Addison produces 2.2 million pounds of milk per year, with all of it going to the plant.

He says if facility were to close, farms around the area would have to find another market for their milk. That could impact nearly every aspect of a farmer's production.

"The farms here we like to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible," Nichols said, "so we'd rather have our milk manufactured local and close to cut down on the trucking costs."
