American Medical Response Completes Ac­qui­sition of Rural/Metro

WESTERN NEW YORK -- Nationwide emergency service company Rural/Metro Ambulance officially has a new owner.

American Medical Response bought Rural/Metro, creating a combined company of more than 25,000 employees. Terms of the deal are not being released but Rural-Metro was estimated to make nearly $600 million in revenue this year. AMR is also a medical transportation company.
