After a brazen escape, New York state is now trying to repair the damage done to the infrastructure at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, and it's going to cost the state hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The state comptroller's office says a North Country company has been awarded a $300,000 contract to fix the damage.

The work involves making repairs to the pipes, walls and some fences at the maximum security prison after Richard Matt and David Sweat used tools to cut their way through the jail to escape through a manhole.
