There's a new awe-inspiring thrill in Niagara Falls as the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino kicks off the first of three exciting outdoor attractions. Time Warner Cable News reporter Kaitlyn Lionti got a sneak peek at the show.
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. -- Starting Wednesday, the public can enjoy the talent and bravery of two acrobats taking on the Sky Wheel. Also known as the Wheel of Death, the performers move as the double wheel spins, taking them 30 feet above the ground. The Skywheel is the first of three attractions featuring the Espanas, a world famous fifth-generation circus family.
The events are being presented in partnership with Farrington Entertainment and Productions of Las Vegas. The next round of performances starts July 15th.
"The Thunderdome, which is motorcylces in a globe, which are very extremely dangerous. A lot of g-force. It ends with three motorcycles and a girl standing in the middle, so it's pretty crazy," said Blair Farrington of Farrington Entertainment & Productions. "Then we have the Sky-Cycle which is 200 feet of a high wire. A motorcyle rides up the wire, flips upside down with a girl hanging on the trapeze and they perform a very difficult act."
"It's a very important idea for us to be able to offer all kinds of entertainment for everyone of all ages, and we really do have something this summer for everyone," said Tonia Lewis of the Seneca Niagara Resort and Casino.
You can see the shows Wednesday through Sunday now through August 23. Performances will be at 6, 7 and 8 p.m., weather permitting. They're located outside the casino's 4th Street entrance and all are free of charge.
