KINGSTON, N.Y. -- More than 150 people helped raise money Thursday night for a charity that does much to help the area's homeless.

RUPCO's "Give Housing a Voice" campaign is an awareness-advocacy campaign centered on the importance of affordable housing in Ulster County.

They've compiled resources online that show people ways they can create their own pathways to afford a home.

"Affordable housing is usually made in a number of ways. Usually it's a partnership, and use low income tax credits. But the most important part is the community buy in and support," said RUPCO director of communications Tara Collins.
