ENDICOTT, N.Y. -- IBM has reached a settlement with Endicott residents, according to a spokesperson.

The agreement is aimed at ending claims relating to the former manufacturing facility there.

Litigation in the case dates back to 2008.

Workers at the Endicott plant say they were exposed to many chemicals including TCE and PCE.

The spokesperson said the company will remain committed to cleaning up the former facility.

Attorneys for the plaintiffs will now have to meet with their clients to discuss the proposed settlement.

Details were not released by the company.
