This weekend on In Focus, we’re taking a closer look at Earth Month.

JoDee Kenney sits down with 46th Senate District state Sen. Pat Fahy. She says we have to keep the pressure on federal officials to make sure states get the funding they need to combat weather related disasters and prevention.

Fahy went on to enumerate all the federal cuts currently in the works that are impacting the state's climate initiatives.

Turning to PFAS and forever chemicals, Fahy says nearly all of us have some in our bodies. She spoke about some of the bills she's spearheaded to get the chemical out of clothes and food packaging among other products.

Fahy also touched on the HEAT act and the work that still needs to be done cleaning up the Hudson River.
