Spectrum News anchor Caroline Blair sat down with two of the show's stars, Yehezkel Lazarov of Israel, who plays the main character Tevye, and Maite Uzal of Spain, who plays his wife Golde. The veteran actors explained what it means to be in such a major show that’s won multiple Tony Awards and undergone multiple revivals over the last 55 years.

The musical tells the tale of a peasant milk man who struggles with marrying off his five daughters while living in pre-revolutionary fictitious town, known as Anatevka, in the Ukraine. The story tells the Jewish family’s dynamic tale of struggling with love, marriage, and cultural differences as a Tsar calls for the eviction of Jews.

The songs are catchy and inspiring, the energy and dancing is superb, and the comedic timing is perfect. If you would like to see Fiddler on the Roof,  the show runs January 8-13 at the DPAC in Durham. A small amount of $30 lottery tickets are available for each performance.
