COLONIE, N.Y. – A Colonie woman was arrested on fraud charges, accused of illegally obtaining social services benefits.
Connie Rogers facts two counts of welfare fraud and two counts of offering a false instrument for filing, all felonies.
Police say she fraudulently received more than $27,000 in public assistance benefits, by not disclosing her boyfriend’s income when filing for benefits.
She’s accused of fraudulently receiving nearly $8,000 from the Albany County Department of Social Services and more than $19,000 from Section Eight Housing.
Rogers was arraigned and released.
