Looking for something to do this weekend? These are some of the events happening around Central New York.
Get the blues at the State Fairgrounds
The 2025 New York State Blues Festival wraps up Saturday at Chevy Court at the New York State Fairgrounds. The gates open at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Warren Haynes Band will be the highlight act, joined Saturday by Southern Avenue, The Three Kings, Ruthie Foster, Jontavious Willis and more. Admission is free; there will be food and drink vendors on-site, as well as space for lawn chairs. No outside food/drink, coolers, tents or large umbrellas are allowed. For more information, check the festival website.
Junque Fest at Harvey's Garden
The Father's Day edition of Junqué Fest will be held Sunday at Harvey's Garden in Syracuse (1200 East Washington), hosted by the Syracuse Antiques Exchange. The vintage shopping event will include live music and a food truck. It runs from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. For more information, check the Junqué Fest Instagram page.
Juneteenth Parade in Syracuse

For traffic advisories and street closures, check the City of Syracuse website. The Festival itself will run from noon-11 p.m. Saturday in Clinton Square, with music, food and retail vendors, community organizations and more. Rumble Ponies at home this weekend
The Binghamton Rumble Ponies will wrap up a six-game home series against the Portland Sea Dogs this weekend at Mirabito Stadium. Friday night will feature a country music-themed firework show; Saturday's game sees the Ponies rebrand for a night as — and we can not make this up — the Bathtub Donkeys, honoring an 1800s Brooklyn law that stated a donkey could not sleep in a bathtub; and Sunday evening's game is Off To the Races Night. For start times of each game and tickets, check the Rumble Ponies schedule on their website.
See downtown art in Syracuse
The Art in Windows tour in downtown Syracuse is running through New Year's Eve. You can find out more about the city's local art scene by visiting art haus SYR (120 Walton Street), which is open from noon-6 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For more on the tour, check this website.
