At long last, it’s the weekend! Below, you’ll find a quick guide — based on information from the MTA — to the biggest planned service changes on the city’s subways and rails.

Subway service changes
1 trains in Manhattan
Between 11:45 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Monday, 1 trains won't run between 168th Street and 137th Street-City College in both directions. Trains will run in two sections during the day and evening — between Van Cortlandt Park-242nd Street and 168th Street every 12 minutes, and between 137th Street-City College and South Ferry every eight minutes.
Free shuttle buses will be available and will make all bypassed stops.
4 trains in Brooklyn
Between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, 4 trains will not make any stops in Brooklyn due to station work.
Commuters are advised to take 2 and 3 trains for service between Borough Hall and Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College. 3 trains will also run between Franklin Avenue-Medgar Evers College and New Lots Avenue all weekend.
A and S trains in Queens
Between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, A trains will not run between Howard Beach-JFK Airport and Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue, and the S Rockaway Park Shuttle will not run at all, as part of the Rockaway Line construction project.
Free shuttle buses will be available for all affected stops.
Normal A and Rockaway Park Shuttle service will resume in the Rockaways on Monday.
F and G trains in Brooklyn
Between 9:45 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, because of signal modernization, G trains will not run between Hoyt-Schemerhorn and Church Avenue in either direction. G trains will run in two sections — between Court Square and Bedford-Nostrand Avenues, and between Bedford-Nostrand Avenues and Hoyt-Schemerhorn.
Commuters can connect between G and F trains by taking an A or C train between Hoyt-Schemerhorn and Jay Street-MetroTech.
Coney Island-bound F trains will also run express between Jay Street-MetroTech and Kings Highway. Anyone who needs to stop at bypassed stations will have to transfer to a Manhattan-bound F train.
J and M trains in Brooklyn and Manhattan
Due to track replacement, between 11:45 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, J trains won't run between Hewes Street and Broad Street in either direction, and M trains won't run between Myrtle Avenue and Delancey Street-Essex Street in either direction.
M train commuters who are traveling between Myrtle Avenue and Hewes Street can take J trains.
Free shuttle buses will be able for commuters traveling between Hewes Street and Delancey Street-Essex Street, stopping at those stations, as well as at the Marcy Avenue station. (Commuters will need to get a GO ticket from a station agent when leaving the subway station to re-enter.)
2 and 3 trains in Brooklyn
Due to track work, Manhattan-bound 2 and 3 trains will not stop at Hoyt Street between 11:45 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday. Flatbush Avenue-bound 2 and 3 trains, meanwhile will skip the Hoyt Street station between 11:45 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.
In addition, 2 and 3 trains will not stop at the Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum station in either direction between 4 a.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Saturday because of the Brooklyn Half marathon.
2 and 5 trains in the Bronx
Between 3:45 a.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday, Manhattan-bound 2 and 5 trains will run nonstop between East 180th Street and Third Avenue-149th Street due to structural maintenance. Wakefield-bound 2 and 5 trains will make all stops.
Commuters can transfer to a train headed in the other direction for stops at bypassed stations.
In addition, 5 train service on Sunday in Manhattan will begin at 10 a.m. The 5 will run overnight between Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street in the Bronx.
6 trains in the Bronx
Between 9:45 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, Pelham Bay Park-bound 6 trains will run nonstop between Hunts Point Avenue and Parkchester due to station work.
Riders can take a Manhattan-bound train for service to and from that station.
7 trains in Queens
Between 11:45 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Monday, Flushing-bound 7 trains will run express between 74th Street-Broadway and Mets-Willets Point due to station work.
Manhattan-bound trains will stop at all bypassed stations.
A, C and E trains in Manhattan
Between 9:45 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Sunday, downtown A and C trains will run express between 59th Street-Columbus Circle and Canal Street, and downtown E trains will run express between 34th Street-Penn Station and Canal Street.
Uptown A, C and E trains will make all local stops. Downtown E trains will also stop at 50th Street.
D, N and R trains in Brooklyn
Between 11:45 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, Bay Ridge-bound R trains and Coney Island-bound D and N local trains will run nonstop between Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and 36th Street due to track replacement.
Riders can take a Manhattan-bound train for service to and from bypassed stations.
E, F and R trains in Queens
Between 11:45 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday, Jamaica-bound E and F local trains, and Forest Hills-bound R trains, will not stop at Woodhaven Boulevard due to station work. Riders can take a Manhattan-bound train for service to and from this station.
Also, between 11:45 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday, Manhattan-bound E, F and R local trains will not stop at Woodhaven Boulevard due to station work. Riders can take a Jamaica-bound train for service to and from this station.
F trains in Manhattan
Between 9:45 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. Monday, uptown F trains will not stop at 14th Street or 23rd Street due to track replacement. Riders can take a downtown train for service to and from bypassed stations.
Also, uptown F trains will be stopping at the express platform from West Fourth Street-Washington Square to 47th-50th Streets-Rockefeller Center.
N, Q and R trains in Manhattan
Between 11:45 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday, uptown N, Q and R local trains will run express from Canal Street to 34th Street-Herald Square due to track replacement.
Downtown trains will make all bypassed stops.
