The Buffalo Bandits are now one game away from their third straight NLL title.

Offensive Player of the Year Dhane Smith helped lead a third quarter comeback for the two-time defending champs, scoring 3 goals in the third quarter.

Ian MacKay scored 4 goals and Matt Vinc made 44 saves.

Smith became the NLL's career scoring leader, passing his coach John Tavares, with an assist on MacKay's first goal. That gave him 201 points in his 34th playoff game.  

The Bandits 12-10 win over the Saskatchewan Rush last night at the KeyBank Center now puts them just one game away from three-peating as NLL champs.

Game 2 is set for Sunday night in Saskatchewan. Opening faceoff is set for 8 p.m.
